Although the 2020 Dayton, Ohio convention has been postponed, LOTS is proud to announce the latest car being manufactured for us by Lionel - a Kroger Trailer on a "CSX" Flatcar. This car commemorates one of the largest companies in Southwest Ohio. The Kroger Company was founded in 1883 in Cincinnati, Ohio. It has grown since then into the largest supermarket chain in the U.S. It is the second largest retailer behind Walmart. It is also the fourth largest American owned private employer, with nearly 500,000 employees. It has 2,769 supermarkets in 35 states and the District of Columbia. Kroger owns bakeries and dairies which supply its stores. It also has a fleet of trucks, in addition to those it leases for deliveries.
The LOTS Kroger Trailer on a "CSX" Flatcar is an all-Lionel manufactured O-Gauge flatcar with trailer. It is 11" long and features die-cast trucks, couplers and frames, and a removable trailer. The trailer displays Kroger's newest, "Fresh for Everyone" re-brand designs.
